Nicaragua accused of running internet troll farm
The company behind Facebook and https://independent.academia.edu/WeJuriya Instagram has removed more than 1,000 fake accounts in Nicaragua which it says were part of a disinformation campaign by the government. https://www.f6s.com/we-juriya Meta said those who ran the accounts included staff at the telecoms regulator and the Supreme Court. It comes ahead of presidential elections this weekend with the https://forums.anandtech.com/members/wejuriya.474280/#about president's main challengers jailed. The United States has described the election as a sham.
The accounts https://www.intensedebate.com/people/wejuriya were controlled by Daniel Ortega's government and the FSLN ruling party, Ben Nimmo, threat intelligence lead for Facebook parent company https://www.thebestof.co.uk/local/abingdon/members/view/profile/?id=61811257fb70e773d0518f97 Meta, told the AFP news agency.
Facebook closed 937 https://www.hltv.org/profile/1492554/wejuriya accounts, 140 pages and 24 groups, as well as 363 Instagram accounts, he said. All accounts were shut down last month. The disinformation campaign allegedly began in 2018 as an effort to denigrate the opposition. It spread to other platforms, https://wejuriya.picturepush.com/album/3073804/16446959/Picture-Box/https%3A--flekosteelbalzam.html including TikTok and Twitter.
In 2018, Mr https://8tracks.com/wejuriya Ortega's regime cracked down on protests, killing more than 300 people. Tens of thousands of have since fled into exile. "The goal was to flood the online conversation in Nicaragua with pro-government https://www.yumpu.com/nl/document/view/65952107/https-flekosteelbalzamcom-de-diaetoxil-kapseln-germany- and anti-opposition messages," he said.
Facebook said https://www.c-sharpcorner.com/members/we-juriya in a statement the network was "a coordinated effort... to corrupt or manipulate public discourse by using fake accounts to build personas across platforms https://www.bmx-forum.com/members/wejuriya.118791/#about and mislead people about who's behind them".
Analysis suggests https://forums.pangolin.com/members/we-juriya.46791/ that people were posting on the accounts as their day job, with a break for lunch. The government has been arresting opponents and critics since June on charges of treason or money-laundering. Many say the charges are baseless and designed to facilitate https://qatarpromotions.com/user/we-juriya Mr Ortega's re-election.
The EU's http://www.xcomplaints.com/complaint/weight-loss-c102110.html foreign policy chief recently called Nicaragua "one of the worst dictatorships in the world". State prosecutors in Nicaragua have ordered the arrest http://www.canetads.com/view/item-3195658-https-flekosteelbalzam.com-de-diaetoxil-kapseln-germany.html of award-winning novelist Sergio Ramírez.
Mr Ramírez, https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/member.php?u=5857263 who won Spain's Cervantes Prize for literature in 2017, is one of Nicaragua's foremost writers. He has been accused of inciting hatred and http://www.innetads.com/view/item-2061548-https-flekosteelbalzam.com-de-diaetoxil-kapseln-germany.html conspiring to destabilise Nicaragua.
Dozens of http://www.usnetads.com/view/item-131628138-https-flekosteelbalzam.com-de-diaetoxil-kapseln-germany.html influential Nicaraguans have already been detained on similar charges as part of a crackdown on critics https://dreevoo.com/profile_info.php?pid=308798 of President Daniel Ortega.
Among those https://startupmatcher.com/p/wejuriya detained are several presidential hopefuls, union leaders and newspaper editors. The 78-year-old novelist, who left Nicaragua in June, responded defiantly to the https://neozzle.com/services/other-services/httpsflekosteelbalzam-comdediaetoxil-kapseln-germany_i9713 arrest order issued against him.
Writing on social https://www.reddit.com/user/wejuriya/comments/ql2rp6/httpsflekosteelbalzamcomdediaetoxilkapselngermany/ media, he said words were his only weapons and that he would continue to use them to support freedom and democracy https://moz.com/community/q/user/wejuriya against dictatorship.
Mr Ramírez was once a https://www.hometalk.com/diy/diaetoxil-germany-44447375 close ally of President Ortega and served as his vice-president during Mr Ortega's first presidency from 1985 to 1990. But he broke away from the Ortega-led Sandinista Party in 1995 in protest at what he said were Mr Ortega's https://www.intensedebate.com/people/shjuriya "autocratic tendencies".
Has been has been https://www.thetoptens.com/m/shjuriya/ an outspoken critic of Mr Ortega ever since. In an interview with Chilean daily https://grabcad.com/sh.juriya-1 La Tercera in July, he accused President Ortega of "not having limits".
"His strategy https://seedandspark.com/user/sh-juriya is to remain in power at whatever cost," he said of Mr Ortega, who is expected to run for a fifth term in https://photopeach.com/user/shjuriya office in elections in November.
The wave of arrests https://www.icheckmovies.com/profiles/shjuriya/ began in June when presidential hopeful https://www.trainingzone.co.uk/profile/shjuriya Cristiana Chamorro was placed under house arrest and banned from running for office.
Unlike most https://617fb84c7258e.site123.me/ of the other opposition figures, who have been charged with treason or inciting hatred, Ms Chamorro was accused of using a foundation she ran - the Violeta Barrios Chamorro Foundation - https://republic.co/@sh-juriya to launder money.
Prosecutors say https://www.tuugo.us/Companies/diaetoxil-germany/0310006782581 Mr Ramírez received money from the Violeta Barrios Chamorro Foundation as well as another cultural organisation, which is https://anotepad.com/notes/8kahy2x4 also accused of "destabilising" Nicaragua.
Critics of the government https://ebusinesspages.com/shjuriya.user say the arrests are a deliberate strategy to thin out the field of presidential candidates ahead of November's election but the government says it is https://choralnet.org/?s=https%3A%2F%2Fflekosteelbalzam.com%2Fde%2Fdiaetoxil-kapseln-germany%2F taking decisive action against "the enemies of Nicaragua" who, they say, are in the pay of the US.
